Pelgar
I took a look at your nif. I'm not sure what you're triying to do with it but I assume you're trying to create an NPC. The big yellow thing has two complete body meshes with vault suit meshes inside it.I don't know why you can't see the yellow thing when you load the nif into the Geck and I probably won't be any help with that. The community here is the most helpful I've ever ran across on a forum and I've been around a long time! If you would let people know a little bit about what you're trying to do, a static object, a player or npc, a big yellow bean bag chair? And what you've done to get to where your are now, someone will probably tell you what's wrong. Whatever you're tyring to create my next step would be go back into your modling app. and get rid of all the meshes that are inside your big yellow mesh. Even if your goal is a NPC I think I'd still get rid of all copies of the gore meshes. Once you get your nif working in Geck/Game you can go back and add the gore parts if you need them. I hope this is at least a little help.

Do I have to weight paint the skeleton,as well?

Pelgar
I'm not going to be much help to you. I simply don't know how to get something that large working with the human skeleton. I did take a look at your nif in Blender and the Pichu is not weight painted, it's not even assigned to the skeleton. If you're working with Blender you need to select the Pichu mesh in Object Mode then shift select the skeleton then ctrl-p and select make parent to armature. iamsocool1
"Something that large to work with a human skeleton."I could make him thinner with 3DS Max. But then, he would just look more creepier than cute. Edited April 29, 2013 by iamsocool1
Pelgar
It may be best to back off of this project and get your feet wet with something a bit simpler.
