tx3000
IMPORTANT NEED TO KNOW INFORMATION FOREWARD: I hope everyone can view these videos. 1) All my videos have been uploaded to mediafire and you will need winrar to extract them 2) The video software I used to create the tutorials is a free software. So I wound up getting stuck recording them at my screen resolution which is 1440 x 900 at 75 hertz. So if you can manage to get your computer to those settings, then the videos can be best viewed at those settings, on Windows Media Player 11, in full screen mode. 3) I did tried using multiple converters to try to shrink the videos, I even tried recording them at a smaller resolution, but regardless of what I tried, they lost so much quality that they wound up looking like complete and utter crap. So I decided to leave them as is. 4) If you can't get your screen resolution that high, I came up with this solution:I found a video player that I have included with the videos that should allow anyone at any screen resolution to be able to watch the videos without any loss of quality. But just be aware that, the lower the screen resolution you have your computer set to, the more of the video your going to be missing. 5) So watch them in the highest screen resolution as you can whenever possible. And just remember I was forced to create the videos the way they are now, so I had no control of the outcome. 6) Just remember that some of these videos are over 1.6GB in size because of how i was stuck recording them. 7) Lastly, if you can't use the video player due to it not being able to laod up then let me know I'll post the actual installion for it. ________________________________________________________________________________ It is highly suggested but not neccessary that you watch these videos in sequential order. sumoftwosins
I haven't watched any, but I have to say... based on the massive list of videos, you've put in some serious work. You deserve one hell of a pat on the back.
MRG
As I said above, excellent info can be found in your video tutorials. You spoke clearly & didn't stutter or repeast yourself. I have downloaded all the videos in your tutorial, all 1.5GB worth, but I only watched a few before I got ansy & had to fire up GECK to try out a few things I had learned. Do you have any plans to make more "How To" videos? I have a long list here of new questions with your name on it. -MRG
tx3000
Do you have any plans to make more "How To" videos? I have a long list here of new questions with your name on it. -MRGWhen I understand more of the GECK, Sure I'll make more: I usually make videos like this under 2 conditions 1: I know exactly what I'm doing with the instuctions2: There is enough demand for them. Obviously there is a demand for them so the only issue at this point is the lack of knowledge of more parts. I do want to create a segement on scripting and will probably do so once I understand scripting in the same way I did everything else in my tutorials. In the mean time the easiest way to learn how something is done (And this is what I did) I opened something up in the geck I was very familliar with and had already seen used in the game, so while I was looking at it in the G.E.C.K. I could review in my head how it was in the game, so that way I grasped the layout of how it was programmed into the game and say, ok so that's how this works. I would then create my own version by using the base of what I was looking making certain changes to it, and then loading up the game to see what the changes did. For example I want tio figure out how scripting is put together, so i would upone up an already working script I was familliar with, in this case I would most likely find a script on lucas simms, and change certain words in it and see what happens. i would also open up about 5 other scripts looking for different ways the script was written. Doing this allows you to see more and more of the different types of scripting lines there are. Then I would attempt to create my own. That's more or less the excat way I figured out how to use what I made videos tutorials out of. Hope this helped
Guest
</lurk> Hi! This, I'm sure, is a very weird first post, but I just want to say how helpful that these videos have been so far. I've downloaded all 1.5GB and made my way through the Basics. A couple of friends and I are starting to work on a new mod. Thank you. I can tell you put a lot of work into these. Skree000
for future projects if anyone wants amazing video compression, check out a program called VirtualDub. Its free open source, and with it ive compressed 4gb DVD rips down to a 100mb file, also compressed 100-400mb vids down to 20-30megs, with VERY LITTLE quality loss. Its VERY complex program with tons of customization and features, also compresses audio too, plugs into every known codec and allows for LOTS of tweaking for the perfect compression! shaikujin
Are the vids still available? I am getting the following error: The key you provided for file download was invalid. This is usually caused because the file is no longer stored on Mediafire. This occurs when the file is removed by the originating user or Mediafire.
