Falcon Punch

Well here is hoping you're still doing yours. Also I thought the anime came out after that phrase. I really thought Cpt. Falcon had a bunch of random moves thrown onto him in SSB.

I'm not sure but in the youtube vid with the game, what you did with GECK, I don't hear sound, not sure if there is suppposed to be any or not.

If you could could you make it say Falcon Punch when you do critical hit and with Falcon Punch have the Falcon show up in a fire, like the picture you have. This is the third time for a different game I've seen something for Falcon Punch. Someone else wanted a mod in Oblivion to use Falcon Punch and Phatnasy Star Online Blue Burst.

Well FRAPS somehow crash if I record the sound, so the vid is soundless. But I have made it that a "falcon punch" shout is played everytime you (or a specific NPC with the punch equipped) successfully lands a hit, instead of a critical hit.

I've been making the punch so powerful that the player or the NPC can only use it seldomly. Right now, I'm ironing out some balancing issues.

Another aspect I've been working on is trying to the make the punch as lore-friendly as possible. I know the punch is mainly for good fun, but I myself prefer that even the wackiest items should have some sort of in-game explanation. So right now, the way I'm setting it is that the player gets the falcon punch after defeating an enclave soldier named Captain Falcon.. the guy you see in the video.

As for the falcon, I understand that to have a falcon show up, I must have a .nif file in the shape of a falcon. However, due to my inexperience in making meshes and nifs, it's still beyond me at the moment. Though I do hope of doing something to that effect.

And bytheway, thank you for your interest. :)

If you could release it or let someone use it I'm sure they could get a vid with sound.

Well here is the vid I got. It has a little bug and he uses other weapons. But I think I got enough falcon punches in to make the point of this mod.

Not sure why but the embedded won't work. so here is the video

Since someone has already uploaded a falcon punch mod for gags I decided to make mine a serious one.

At the moment, the plan is that the Enclave has created a power fist codenamed the falcon fist. The danger of this fist is that it harnesses energy from energy cells and discharges it into a punch.

Currently, the way to obtain this falcon fist is to break into an underground Enclave research facility and retrieve it from the weapons lab.

So far, I've made three interior cells; an underground cavern which has the entrance to the facility, and two sections of the research facility. I've yet to start work on the actual weapons lab where the falcon fist will be obtained.

Additionally, this research facility will include a boss for each indoor cell. For the cavern, I've already created a big eyebot guard which shoots blue laser and multiple rocket salvos at the player. I've yet to make bosses for the other cells, but the Captain Falcon NPC I created for my early test version of the mod will be the definite boss from which you obtain the falcon fist.

If you have any ideas for bosses, please share your ideas. :)

Looking good. If you want a video showing the cells when you're almost finished just ask me. Oh yeah I was thinking one of the bosses could be Captain Falcon's ship/car/whatever. Put it outside the entrance or in a big giant room, enough to move around.

Thanks for the offer.

I made CATS (from the All Your Base meme) as a boss, but I wasn't too sure about what to do with him. Nor Captain Falcon for that matter. So I decided that the setting will be an underground Enclave research facility overrun by a splinter faction of the Enclave.

There's a huge lazer-firing, missile-spouting eyebot in the cave. I just need approximately 3-4 more bosses. But I think I will incorporate your Falcon's ship idea. It may only be Vertibird instead of a Falcon Car, though. But the basic idea still hold. ANd I think it rocks.

Thanks for the input. :)
