FillipeMattos
I would like to create a new race in Skyrim and crescentar within that race some characters I created in the creation kit. These characters are all females vampires, except that they are in the race Nordic, not to be confused with Nordic vampires. The reason for which I would like to create a new race is because that is easier to modify the level of their powers, speed and unarmed attacks. I might change my race to Nordic vampire, but if I do it the appearance of my characters will be unconfigured, besides I think the face of Nordic vampires very ugly. My female vampires are more beautiful as Nordic standard, yet it would be interesting to create a race exclusively for them. Has some way to create a race for my characters so that they maintain the appearance of Nordic normal? Ie, continue with the same look that I modified. Whenever you change the appearance of your character's race, he back the unconfigure and sometimes it's hard to him back to normal. If anyone knows a solution, please let me know. budcat
Duplicate NordRaceVampire in the Creation Kit, rename it your custom name, then open it up. Change MorphRace and ArmorRace to NordRace. Make sure you click playable. Find and copy all vampire abilities (and any others you want) into Specials. This would be your new vampire race that is in every way a copy of Nord vampires but you can alter them without changing all Nord vampires, and you'd be able to create a vampire straight from the New Game character creation menu. As far as making NPCs using your new race, you have to create the NPCs loading your new vampire race mod as a master file in the Creation Kit and saving them as a second .esp to be loaded in your mod load order after your new vampire race mod. As far as changing their face/hair/etc. data, changing their appearance, I haven't tried. As far as getting your new race to be werewolf or vampire lord compatible you need to make script edits or you can try getting a custom race compatibility mod. Hope that helps. Only this group? If I change my race, their appearance will change or remain the same? Edited April 28, 2013 by FillipeMattos

FillipeMattos
I managed to create a new race, but when I will change the race of my NPCs, the appearance (which I modified) is reset and also can not change the color of the eyes or putting beard or mustache. These options do not work anymore. How to solve this?
FrozenFeather
Try with this: but still i recommend you to create totally new race even if tutorial says duplicate it, don't do soit becomes dirty edit which is reasonable to avoid if possible.
