kOfSk
So I have a GTX560 card and 4gb of RAM. Because of my comparatively low RAM, I've been trying to be semi-conservative with the graphics mods I add. Right now I have CoT, RLO and I've been looking around at different ENBs (Phinix Natural ENB currently) for lighting. I have Static Mesh Improvements, Lush Trees and Grass and Bigger Trees. Most of my textures are from Skyrim HD 2k textures. I didn't know what I could handle so I've picked 2k textures for all my textures even when I had a 4k option. My question now is, what should I do next? My FPS is fine. I don't know how to actually check it, but it's definitely not low enough to notice a drop. However, my RAM is at the point where if I have other applications open behind it, my screen stutters horribly. Same if I try to load up a mod like warzones that adds a ton of actors. I have to run skyrim by itself to avoid the issue. How can I improve my graphics by pushing my card only and not my RAM? Should I go the ENB route with something like RealVision or upgrade to 4k textures? Something completely different like the Floral Overhaul? rhowington
RealVision ENB would be difficult for your system to handle. I use it but I have a hand built monster. Stay with the 2k textures, you really won't notice that much difference. Your stuttering is probably caused by the way Skyrim and Windows uses your CPU. You can Google for some tweaks that might help.
kOfSk
So what would you suggest then? Is this the end of the line you think? I feel like my card could handle more... Could I at least run automatic variants with some 2k texture pack for it? Not sure about floral overhaul because it looks like it adds a lot more objects for my RAM to think about.
