Kitousha
The readme says to Copy files to \Oblivion\Data\ folder. So I put in the characters folder in there for the normal version. (characters\_male\) But my Oblivion Mod Manager doesn't recognice them.They're.nif files, but my Zelda weapons/shield mod are .nif files aswell and they showed up on the mod list. Any ideas why this is?

Any ideas why this is? HGEC doesn't use an ".esp" so it won't show up as a plugin. If you used the OMOD versions they will show up in the OMOD list, but still not on the plugin side. LordAethar
Whenever I use any non-OBMM mod (regardless if it has an ESP or not), I will create my own OBSM file with the files in question, to simplify uninstalling issues later on. It sometimes takes a little longer to install the files (especially since I crank up the archive compression to the absolute max), but it's well worth the extra time spent, and lets me go back to Oblivion months later and look at OBSM and remember what all I have installed and what I don't. This is especially important when installing any sort of mod that does not contain any ESP or ESM file. OBMM doesn't detect many files installed 'manually', such as the .nif files you installed yourself. Again, I use the above method to create my own OBMM first before installing files like this, for easy removal, and also conflict detection with other mods). dezdimona
you also need the basic exnem body mod to make HGEC work!
Lucherenren
Yeah, Dezi pointed it out already - you need the basic EC body installed before HGEC. The OMOD version is fairly easy to install and handle. Also, my advice is to look into Thumpthing's "Set Body and Set Body Self" for further customization options, as it enables your character to switch between bodytype variations on the fly.
