Export settings for character mesh (New Vegas) in blender

I simply cannot figure out the proper settings to use. I have spent the past two days just trying to export a completely unaltered mesh (just importing it then exporting it, without changing anything) in a manner that will allow Geck to actually load the mesh. Yet, all these files open fine in NifSkope. Starting with the FO3 default, I tried all manner of nif import and export options available. I have even tried using NifSkope to export a nif as a obj file, import it with Blender, export it as a obj file, then importing it again in NifSkope and saving as a nif. Nothing seems to work.


This is made more aggravating by the fact that I'm pretty sure it was all working fine last week, though I only did a single test file.


Edit: Please note that I am new to this, so I likely made a very stupid mistake. I have been following guides very closely though.
