Emoticons are sometimes linked to a wrong location

I noticed that sometimes emoticons don't appear when I select them and I get a broken image link instead. It appears that the forum will use the http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/tongue.png link instead of http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/tongue.gif

 

 

It's basically the same location but with the wrong image extension (.png instead of .gif) which results in using an image that doesn't exist. It's nothing horrible or of great importance, it's just that it gets on my nerves sometimes.
