I don't think its possible, since the player is biped into following parts:

  • Head
  • Hair
  • Upperbody
  • LeftHand
  • RightHand
  • Weapon
  • PipBoy
  • Backback
  • Necklage
  • Headband
  • Hat
  • EyeGlasses
  • NoseRing
  • Earrings
  • Mask
  • Choker
  • MouthObject
  • BodyAddOn1
  • BodyAddOn2
  • BodyAddOn3

Upperbody covers legs aswell.

I dont doubt you there veliv, but since the meshes can retain information about specific bone nodes, then those bone nodes are unique and therefore have their own ID and data somewhere...

 

In theory so long is there a bone present, something can be skinned to it. Might have to do some kind of backdoor workaround through NifSkope though since The Geck might not have the front end to facilitate such

Yup, but as I noticed with my motorcycle mod, if you don't have any bips selected, the mesh of the gear won't be visible. Thats why my motorcycle bips noserings, eve while its skinned to the root bone :D
