cthulhuworship1
Hello! Iam currently using the Succubus Race, by bella, and I installed Ozomo's Hi Rez body textures for HGEC body, but the choices I make for skin type and pubic hair does not show up on my race. Is there something I am not doing correctly? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
DrakeTheDragon
Does Ozmo's High-Res Skin Pack even affect this 'custom' race at all? (Will read its description next to find out.)Each race has its very own unique and 'seperate' skin textures. A replacer package for higher-res versions needs to overwrite those files as well, of course. If they're not included, it won't. edit: Going by its file description, no, there are no high-res textures for Bella's Succubus Race included. The race is not affected by this. cthulhuworship1
Thanks for the reply! is there a way to replacer the textures of this race with Ozomo's textures?
abysswolf
probably you have to do it for yourself if Ozomo's hasn't done a patch for it.. :)
cthulhuworship1
Is there a tutorial on how to achieve this?
DrakeTheDragon
Are their any skin textures in Ozmo's which would be fitting Bella's Succubus in your eyes? If so, then the files likely are found at "textures/characters/<insert race name here>/female/footfemale.dds" "handfemale.dds" and the corresponding normalmaps "..._n.dds". You can simply copy&paste these into any other race folder of your choice, like Bella's Succubus for example. Just overwrite the according files found inside there. If necessary, rename your's. (Make backups of the originals beforehand!) For best results I suggest copying the face textures as well. Face textures are uni-gender and I'm not sure about the exact filenames, but it should be found somewhere along the lines of "textures/characters/<insert race name here>/headhuman.dds" (again, rename according to what files you find in there) plus the normalmap, if present, and of course the various agemaps, if present. They should all have the same base name (e.g. "headhuman") more or less, so the game knows they belong together. Keep in mind though that you will screw up the "male" Succubi (?) if you replace the face textures by something too different in color and no longer fitting. Ozmo's surely has no "male" replacements to counteract this with. Edited May 3, 2013 by DrakeTheDragon
cthulhuworship1
Hmm well I gave it a shot with no success. Any other suggestions?
DrakeTheDragon
Hmm, that's pretty vague. 'No success' is impossible, if things were done right. So what exactly did you do?What's the foldername for Bella's Succubus inside "textures/characters/"? What files are found inside there (so we know the files to replace)?Which textures did you choose to use as replacements for it? What's the folder for the race you're intending to copy from inside "textures/characters/"? What files are inside there (so we know which files to copy)? Did you physically replace, as in overwrite, the texture files found inside Bella's Succubus race folder with the files found in the folder for the race you want to copy from, renaming them accordingly so they actually replace the files when necessary? If you replaced a skin file from Bella's Succubus race with another texture of your choice, it is impossible to 'not' have an effect on the race's appearance ingame. If you just copied files into the same folder but never actually replaced anything, then the game will still use the same files as ever and of course not your new ones. The game is told which files to use, and as long as those aren't altered, nothing will change ingame. Just putting random files into race folders will not have an effect as long as the game will still use the original ones. cthulhuworship1
I apologize for being vague. Here is what i do/see. I open Bethesda Softworks --> Oblivion--> Data--> Textures --> Characters --> _Succubus Race_ In _Succubus Race_ folder it has 5 sub folders: Body, Eyes, Face, Hair, Teeth. I open "Body". In "Body" it has 4 files: Foot.dds, Foot_N.dds, Hand.dds, and Hand_n.dds. I remove all four files and replace with the textures I desire. I chose the Imperial textures from Ozomo's Hi Rez texture pack. They are: FootFemale.dds, FootFemale_n.dds ,HandFemale.dds, HandFemale_n.dds. Is there anything I did not do correctly in the steps I listed above? Again, I thank you for your help.
cthulhuworship1
I dont know if this has anything to do with it or not but I have 2 _Succubus Race_ folders. One in Textures folder, and one in textures --> characters.
