eshian Posted January 27, 2009 Share Posted January 27, 2009 I think it'd be great if someone could create a faction, with it's own hideout in the mountains, in which you go on quests to kill bandits and outlaws. I'm thinking sorta like Turin from the Silmarillion, so you have your hideout, and the bandit/outlaw spawn is increased and they travel in groups and you've got to go out and hunt them. I just sorta want something so I can ride out into the land and slay baddies and be rewarded for it. Also, something where outlaws try to attack the hideout and you've got to upgrade it to help protect it (scouts, sentries, etc.). Something I really want to see though is a customizable NPC partner, sorta like Diablo 2 where you can equip them with gear and spells and they follow you around, and when they die you've got to go and revive them for a price. I just feel that with the ability to join a faction, and go out and hunt outlaws and bandits and be rewarded for it would help bring a stronger feeling to actually be out in the wilderness in Oblivion, and a customizable merc would be just BA. Thanks for considering What you are basically asking for is a combination of several mods that have already been done. As far as companions, search "CM", "Ruined-Tail" or "Sonia" in Tesnexus, and you will be good there. As for a hideout, there are many, MANY mods that add lairs and so forth for you in the game. I don't know if you could increase just bandit spawns, but wilderness camps almost always have bandits for you to kill. As far as the attack on your base concept, look into a mod like Glenvar Castle or something similar as a base of operations. As far as the whole, "go kill these bandits and I will reward you concept", is it really needed? After all, get to level 10-15 and their drops will be worth more money than you would know what to do with. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bben46 Posted January 31, 2009 Share Posted January 31, 2009 Knights of the white stallion. It expands the Mazoga the Orc quest into an order of knighthood. The knights house on the main road just north of Leyawin into a base, enlarges it quite a bit, adds several knightly companions and is attacked by black bow bandits weekly. The knights are their own faction that you can rise to lead. There are several nearby caves that respawn bandits and marauders.
