Tamujiin
I dont know if it matters or where to post this or if someone else has posted it but i feel sharing information with the community is a good thing. I found a site where u can download Arena and Daggerfell for free as they have been declared abandoned. Also at this sight are various other Classic RPGs of long lost greatness, Most of them pre mounted to a dosbox thingy so you dont have to go through monting the drive and all the headache. Game examples, Eye of the beholder 1, 2 , and 3.Ishar 1, 2 ,3 Realms of Arkania 1, 2 , 3Wizadry 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. A little tidbit of info incase yah dont know is that daggerfell is the largests of the Elderscrolls games so far, with over 150,000 towns dungeons ect. I didnt know where to post this but admint will surely move it somewhere. I wanted to tpost this cause the games are pre-mounted on the dosbox program thingy so all u do is install the thing and run the game. ( no friggen headaches involved. ) Oh by the way the site is www.oldgames.sk/en, THE SITE IS HOSTED FROM THE CZECH REPUBLIC. but is in english. anybody know of any other sites similaiar to this feel free to post em here. As i have a problem being computer illeterate and the dosbox mounting thingy is just to stupid for me to understand ( or is it the other way around? )
Sangel2525
Yeah I picked up a copy of my all time favorite game Daggerfall. I could never get the old disk to run on newer computers, so it was really nostalgic playing the game again. However the copy I got was a little glitched, in that walking forward made me walk forward and strafe right at the same time every so often. Still very nostalgic, and fun when it works correctly. :)
LoginToDownload
That strafing problem is probably because you used Look Around. It changes your facing, but not which direction the game considers "forward" for movement. My first Elder Scrolls game was Oblivion, so I'm finding stumbling out of the initial dungeon after having taken five naps and dying significantly more than that frustrating. I suspect it was stupid of me to pick Hand-to-Hand and Destruction as my combat mehtods. Wonder if I can get myself a Restore Magicka enchantment after I figure out how to travel properly...
