dragonslayer2k12
There should be a mod that simply does away with all the building of the HF homes and just lets you buy the land and then buy the house in sections then buy the steward and stuff inside etc just like other houses in the game. Get rid of the giants and dragons and bandits invading the house but make it so that the houses can't be bought until after you beat the main quest. This helps with the question of why would nobody attack your house in the woods or you could make it so the player has to hire guards which would simply change some scripts to have less and less attacks depending on how many guards hired. To stop dragon attacks there could be anti dragon ballistas installed for the guards to use. So like AA guns but AD guns lol, flaming or magical bolts fly out of them and kill the dragon or force them to flee far away. The AD guns would be on top of walls the player has to buy like city walls only for that one house. Nothing over done or crazy but there could be a main gate addon if the player buys all the walls and each wall depending on the house would come with X amount of AD guns on it. Get rid of the giants and wolves though since kids would live there and farm animals don't need to be chewed up. The kids and adoptions stuff would still be in the game and you could have two kids per house as long as you had a steward and a housecarl. Lose the steward or housecarl or both and the kids go back to the orphanage. Of course your spouse can take the responsibility of raising them if the steward or housecarl goes missing from your main house. I really hate all the bugs that come with HF and the navmesh and scripting bugs are the worst. To make a properly working house mod that supports HF you basically have to REMAKE the entire mod from scratch with HF enabled in the CK. With a mod like I am requesting you won't need HF fully running to use it somehow but I have no idea how that would work though.
