Franpa
It either freezes as soon as I enter the tunnel or very soon after (Need to ctrl-alt-delete/Task Manager to regain control of PC). Clean install with no mods, previously was using Fallout Remastered and Wasteland Explorer but tried it without those mods as well with no effect. Could this be caused by whatever I did eons ago to disable GFWL loading in games? All the other DLC mostly worked fine (There was an issue where escaping the Enclave Base didn't trigger the next mission, but that's the only other glitch I've encountered and that was fixed by disabling Fallout Remastered). I reinstalled and updated GFWL to resolve this quirk and my main problem remains even after logging in to and updating GFWL while playing. prensa
Franpa - Hello!Freezing is normally due to the Fallout 3 multi core bug.Fallout 3 has trouble with multi core computers, mainly with ones that have more than two cores & use hyperthreading. If you've got a multi core computer that's probably your issue. There is a fix, you need to edit your Fallout 3 .ini file. The one you want to change is:For XP:My Documents\My Games\Fallout3\For Vista & Win7:Documents\My Games\Fallout3The file you want will be called:FALLOUT.iniOpen the .ini with Notepad & change this line:bUseThreadedAI=0to:bUseThreadedAI=1& insert this line under it:iNumHWThreads=2Save & close your ini.Hope this helps!Prensa
Franpa
Yeah I know the tweak and it seems to indeed be what causes the problem. Setting it to a value of 2 resolves it.
