ok so I have a bunch of mods and I don't know what the deal is I have the nude and body changers and some other face changers and textures and stuff. even when I take off npc gear and even npc's that don't wear helmets the neck up is like 6 shades different than the rest of the body

is it load order, are there mods that you just don't mix together? trying to figure out why they look tender and tanned everywhere but the face they look like paste faces

so here are some file names I have in case there any conflicting

ADV HB-Style
AllFemaleGuards
amazingfollowertweaks
ApachiiHair
betterfemalesbybella

For the all Female guards you need to download the face fix from here. Then you need to run texture Blender foe the CBBE body. It is under data\Caliente Tools in your Skyrim foler. You only need to run the light version. That should get rid of most of your neck seam problems.

A couple of last things I'll add:

1: install CHSBHC BBP before CBBE

2: Run BOSS for the correct load order.

Hope this helps.

Ah yes, the good old shading problem that's been present since Morrowind. Took me two years to get rid of it in Fallout 3, I still didn't succeed at taking care of it in Skyrim.

Unfortunately, that happens because the head and body are separated, either they meet at an odd angle or the polygons are facing a bit differently when you change the look of your character's face, then the shading of the head appears differently that the shading of the body (I think that's how it happens, not sure).

I "fixed" it in FO3 by playing around with the textures and meshes in Blender/Photoshop for two years until I got it right, and even that doesn't work for all NPCs, some still have the neck seam.

This sounds like nothing more then a simple case of the grey face bug. Read then try this -

You can select NPC's individually, or if (as it sounds) you have mods affecting all NPC's globally, select them all and run the process. I might recommend selecting them in groups to ensure the CK doesn't crash. Be patient, it takes time.

ok.... so playing with everything for the last 20 minutes I kept hitting a wall, so instead I uninstalled everything (completely) and brought back caliente's body mod and used the custom body and cranked it to max... that worked, I used the mesh blender and supermodel skyrim face fixes (female guard and regular) and that seemed to do the trick, thanks guys.

caliente, JeremeW5257

(and everyone else that helped, and made a mod im using)

you guys are awesome

eventually I want to try and add one of my own... I just don't have the patience or concentration lol
