bben46
When you first install Skyrim, Steam creates the proper subfolders in the proper locations for the game. One of the subfolders it creates is the data folder. The actual data folder - it is called just 'Data', and not 'Data Files' that the game uses for mods is located at: (Wherever you installed steam) \Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data I prefer to keep all of my games together, and out of the UAC controlled default program files location - My steam is installed to C:\Games\Steam If you don't have steam, then you have a bigger problem as Skyrim is a steam exclusive game and we don't support ANY non steam Skyrim (please read the terms of service)
