A question about the resolution and texture quality?

If I install many mods 2K textures (High Resolution) my game will start to crash or freeze?

My System:

680 GTX 2 GB

I7 3770 3.4

16 GB DDR3

You should be fine with that rig. Skyrim's engine is just bad for texures, however, so don't use 4k textures, and don't increase your ugrids while using many HD textures.

 

Also, always have a back-up in case Skyrim randomly decides to run like **** with HD textures, because for some people, HD textures lead to crashes when Skyrim doesn't cycle their memory effectively.

 

 

Short answer:

Always have a back-up, don't increase ugrids, and you'll be fine with 2k textures.
