Unarmed Combat

Everytime i unequip my battle axe so i can go unarmed, it automatically switches my empty hands to healing. can someone tell me why this stupid sh*t is happening?

Unequipping a weapon or spell that requires two hands automatically equips the last two one-handed thing you used, I believe.

 

Your two handed battleaxe will default to the healing spells you last used. I would also assume if you unequipped the healing spells in place of fists, switched to your axe and unequipped that, the game would then default to your unarmed fists.
