okay, I'm fairly new to the whole modding stuff, only started on the 4th. I've downloaded a few stuff, but I don't understand the body stuff. I've tried getting CBBE/UNP (mostly tried the CBBE), but I don't understand all the different files. I've looked at the 'how to' on the pages, on youtube, but it shows all this going into the files and editing it. I've have a....bad past with modding through the files so I want to do it through NMM, but there is no guide as to what to really do/how I know its worked.

and what the heck is a body slide? does it appear in the game or what?

UNP you can just download through NMM and install that way... it will make a directory as well in Data called [ OPTIONS ] where you find a txt file explaining what you can do with those files. But it's basically click'n'go :P You will not see them under your active plugins as it's just textures and meshes. They dont have an .esp or .esm file. Please dont install more than 1 type of body.

Only thing you have to take care about is that CBBE and UNP bodies have a different shape then the regular so your armor mods must have a UNP or CBBE compatibility pack or your character will change size when you equip an armor (eg. suddenly you have a bigger bottom or larger chest when equipping an armor or you hair doesnt fit your head or your gloves are way too big and so on...)

CBBE and UNP are two different body types, select one or the other to download. CBBE comes with several tools listed as "CalienteTools" in the Skytim/data folder. In the folder you will find "BodySlide" which has gives you the option to shape the female body exactly to your liking or you can choose one of the presets. The tools also contain a folder "TexBlendLite" that you use to remove the neck seams from the npc's.

If you still are having problems or other questions pm me and I will give you more in depth instructions.

another question for you guys. which one do you think is the easiest one to use and which one is better?

They are both female body replacers, which means they come with an assortment of mesh files and associated texture files to mitigate the 'neck seam' issue. Neither is 'easier' to use than the other and 'better' is entirely subjective and based on personal taste (unless we spawn yet another 'which body mod is more realistic' debate that goes no where).

However, one factor you might want to consider is how well 'supported' these body mods are. It's not enough to download a body mod and expect all NPCs to suddenly 'look like that.' Armour and clothing meshes need to be edited to conform to the custom body (so you'll need to download and install those as well). Now, both UNP and CBBE have support for base game armour and clothing, but some mod-added armour/clothing only currently support one body mod. For example, I use 'Immersive Armor', and it only provides support for base bodies or UNP bodies, and while there have been a few individual 'conversions', for the most part, 'Immersive Armor' does not support CBBE.
