Oblivion had a mod created that allowed the player to perform spinning kicks, forward and back flips, and a series of combo punches. Could this not be added to FO3 somehow? It would be cool to be able to seriously fight while being unarmed in this game and to be able to perform fatality combos executed in VATS.

Special perks could be created to give players more and more kung fu abilities as they advance. Like, a special perk for performing a forward flip while running (Shift+W+Space) or a back flip while running backwards and using (Shift+S+Space). And another perk for being able to perform spin kicks, (A+Leftmouse button while unarmed for a left spin kick) and (D+Leftmouse button to perform a right spin kick). And a perk for a series of combo punches by (Double or Triple clicking the LeftMouse button while being unarmed). And if the player uses VATS on a target a list could drop down of special fatality moves that they could choose from to do on the enemy, all of which finish off the targeted enemy with the "paralyzing palm" effect + the "Bloody Mess" effect, to make it sort of like FO3 meets Mortal Kombat.

The Oblivion Karate Mod

Agreed. This would be great. Maybe we should send a pm to the guy who made that karate mod, see if he'll let the fallout 3 mod community utilize it.

The unarmed and melee combat animations in FO3 are woefully unimpressive. I'd much prefer if my character looked like he or she actually had some martial arts training instead of swinging wildly as if they're hoping to hit *something* :ermm: So I'm bumping this to show that there's still some interest in a mod like this.

I already made a request similair to this, the only difference is that it was for melee weapons and for some reason it didn't a single reply.

That post probably came up in the search I did. Personally I'd like to see improved animations for both unarmed and melee, even if it's something 'simple' like replacing the existing animations with ones that look more skilled, so to speak.

note in Fallout 2 you could only have 10 AP max without perks and skills could be increased to 300%,

so for Fallout 3 the action point cost and damage ratings might need to be adjusted as well as the skill percentage requirements

stat and level requirements as well as critical chance bonus shouldn't need to be changed.

as well as of course the Lotus Kick and the Eagle Claw as similar perks to iron fist, though possibly quest related.
