AZZZZZZA
hii just got a copy of dragon age ultimate edition. the one with awakening and all the DLC ect and every time i try to install a mod it stops me from using my dlc. like, the "other campaigns" option can't be opened. and the only way i can get it all back is uninstalling and re-installing. i have tried everything i can think of and i was wondering if anyone else had this problem and got past it. i'm trying to install character creation mods and some DAZIP's. but whenever i do it doesn't allow me to without wiping my official DLC and the awakening expansion. my install is not on steam either. i really am at a loss here. it ONLY happens when i put something in the override folder, it is a legit version of dragon age. i bought it from a store. thanks for any help you can give me, ask me anything about this and ill answer as best i can. Thandal
OK, there's nothing inherently wrong with the UE, or with using mods with the UE, so something else is going on here. First, did you have a previous version of DAO before getting the UE, and if so, did you uninstall it before installing the UE? Second, the UE places the DLC in a different location than the other versions. It puts them in the "\addins" folder under "\Program Files", not under the "\<user's documents>\Bioware\Dragon Age" folder. There is also a second "\override" folder under "\Program Files", but (except for a very few specific mods) nothing should ever be placed there by the player. So all mods should still go in the original locations that their authors specified. Without knowing exactly which mods you're talking about, there's not much else anyone can do to help except point you to this article for general information on Using Dragon Age Mods for Dummies. Let us know how you do.
