I'm immeasurably confused about Skyrim's dialogue system. In Morrowind and Oblivion, writing dialogue was easy. In Skyrim though, the whole system seems to have changed. Do I really need to set up a quest to make dialogue work in Skyrim?

Isn't there just some way to make non-quest related dialogue anymore?

it's slightly misleading, but you need to set it up as a quest, whether it has an actual quest or not is irrelevant

^^ that's a link to a complete custom voiced follower, the essentials are the same for other dialogue, you can use the info there t do almost any dialogue stuff

Yes, I was going to recommend this article too. Its very informative on dialogue and you'll find it very useful. :)

Thank you for posting this tutorial. This is exactly what I've been looking for recently.

Reading the author's experience trying to add a Karl Pilkington follower makes me sad.

I wouldn't have wanted any other follower again  Random monkey news? Yes, please.

Makes me rethink going through with a Carl Brutananadilewski follower. Well, I could keep it to myself top secret I guess.

Sad though, not a lot more to say.
