Help Veronica be Elder quest mod.

For those of us you like the brotherhood of steel from the old Brian Fargo Fallout days.

 

The Brotherhood in the Mojave is dying out and being choaked on their own tradidtions. Veronica knows what it takes to help her beloved faction to survive and grow. Not everyone is going to support her and it will take a strong person like the courier to bring in a change of direction to the BoS.

 

The quest could take place after the elder (even the replacement) denies to see the light and refuses to do what is neccesary to help the BoS grow. Veroncia and the player will encounter a lot of opostiion as the new era is born but in the end the BoS can grow and flourish.

 

However access can still be exclusive and new recruits should be hard to find and to recruit. Only the best of the best are allowed and their invintation must be done descreetly can't let everyone in the world know that the BoS has opened its doors. Even recruiting from unlikely places could be possible i.e a Colonel in the NCR who secretly admires the BoS could be recruited but cautiously after all the Colonel could be a spy and the same could be said for each potential recruit.

 

Quest should be for high level characters and should require missions for sneak, speech, or straight up combat.

 

I understand placing Veronica as an Elder means she can't be your companion anymore so I guess the option to have someone who thinks like Veronica could be made available. ... if you want.

 

If anyone is interested I can give you the brief story line I have and let you do with it as you please.

 

I'm also curious to know what your thoughts are on this.

I'd like quests like that to extend Veronica's character. I'd suggest expanding her choices. So 1. she could become elder by coup, 2. just perform additional tasks for the 1st elder that result in Veronica becoming his right hand man. 3. or him retiring and giveing her the reigns with his blessing, after she (with teh couriers help) aided the BOS, etc. Ways to include Veronica and the courier that reflect different karma and play styles. Some could be based partially at least on descriptions from end slides in re: to Veronica. These should also tie in with her quests I Could Make You Care & Still in the Dark.

 

I think it would be worthwhile. I'v always like Veronica's character.....would be even better if you could find a voice actress.

Agreed. Voice acting would tie everything together so well.

 

I like your thoughts with expanding Veroncia's characters in the three ways you mentioned. I also agree with using the Still in the Dark and I Could Make You Care quests as a basis for these extensions. (I couldn't remember their names before) It fits perfectly with the idea and it would be logical for it start after those are done.

 

That's where the high speech skill comes into play. You'll have to first convience Veronica to "challenge" the Elder or do quests to place her in the Elder's good graces. If its Paldin Harken (is that his name the one who wants to overthrow Macnemira) then maybe some military bases quests could be done i.e the securing of the engery weapons from silver rush (already vanilla I think) and then employing the Crimson Caravan Gun runner quest ... just re write the script so its the brotherhood intiating it.

 

I was also thinking about Dossiers for two potential people to be elder (if the player doesn't want Veronica to be Elder) and for potential recruits the BoS in that region needs to rebuild its numbers but quietly.
