How to make accessories have a real body?

That could be a bit problematic, since the body-armor piece usually defines the visible body (aside from when you're nekid).

I do agree though, it sure would be nice to be able to visualize the fit of accessories while fitting them (since currently, such a fitting is a completely blind process). Especially for some of the more "exotic" items that never seem to fit quite right in-game...mainly because you can't see what the blank is going on, so as to allow adjustment of the fit of the item manually In Bodyslide, using a slightly modified version of whichever preset you normally use for the your naked body, tweaked to fit the item in question.

edit: in any case, I'm now following this thread, since it's been a question on my mind for quite a long time too. (ie, how can I see the accessories "in situ" (on either a texture body or even on a wire frame if nothing else).

Note: I have read along the way that you can replace the reference body model for such a mod (In Outfit Studio as I recall) with the player's body, which is supposedly the cure for ill-fitting accessories. I have not done such a conversion though, nor do I recall the thread where I read it in passing ... But I do know it was in a Skyrim SE forum., fwiw, since that's what I play. Your post just happened to pop up in the right side latest topics panel in forums for SE and it rang familiar in my head, and well, LE and SE aren't *all that different).

Well, I guess I misunderstood your post. For some reason, "apparition" didn't register as a character in my brain, sorry for the misdirect. I was talking about a player and wearable accessory items.
