This is not a BIOS problem, so don't try to flash it until the power problem is fixed. If you have isolated it to the MB there are limited possibilities, the MB itself, the CPU chip, a fan that is plugged into the MB - do you have any RAM plugged in?

On some MBs, if it does not detect a cpu fan it will shut down. Make sure you plugged the cpu fan into the proper connection on the MB and that it is a 3 wire fan - the third wire feeds back fan rpm to the MB.

the cpu is fine, the motherboard detects it, as well as the cpu fan. i am sure it isnt my ram, because i took it all out and tested it one stick at a time and it still did the same thing...

i couldnt flash the bios even if i did wan to though.

tried booting up with just one video card cpu and ram, but that didn't work either. i am sure it isnt the power supply, as everything will stay powered on when i dont have the cpu connected.

asus's phones are broken as well, and they hang up on me whenever i try to bring it to their attention lol
