Skinjack
I'm having an issue with patching. Probably because it is only my second one and I haven't run into this problem yet. Or I haven't noticed it. I am trying to create a patch between EmberXD - the hd.esp - and Skyrim Farmhouse Inns. The Ember's fires are still present but in many cases the firepit is no longer there as it has been moved or become a fireplace. It seems to be relatively straight-forward, copying over red lines of information into the patch from the various cell blocks affected. But halfway through I noticed that the x,y,z information, while all completely different, only has one or two highlighted in red. I'm not sure what to do in those instances. I'm copying over the information from SFI to the patch, overriding Embers, but that is only the red marked stuff. What about the coordinates that are different, but not highlighted? If that is the new position of the item (which I could be totally off-base on) then wouldn't you need to carry all of those numbers over? Why aren't they all red? Skinjack
Hmmm. Sorry about that. Seemed nonsensical to me at the time and now I know why. Vortex hadn't finished sorting before I started SSEEdit. So ignore that question. However, that brings me to another question. Vortex is sorting Skyrim Farmhouse Inns after Embers (I created a rule per SFI's authors advise), so all the changes it makes "should" take precedence. However the Embers fires are still floating in that room apart from the new fireplace. All of SFI's info is the last loaded, but I'm getting both. Do I need to make a patch just carrying over those changes from SFI, even tough they are last? Seems unlikely that I should need to go into Embers and delete stuff, especially if you later remove SFI for some reason. How exactly do I get rid of Embers floating meshes so I just have those from SFI? Sorry if this seems incredibly noob-ish for asking. But I am when it comes to this. EDIT: Oooh. SFI is last in the order. Do I need to do an override from Embers into the patch and delete Embers information somehow? Or is the order even correct? I value the author's opinion, but Embers may be arranged differently somehow, so maybe it SHOULD come last? EDIT 2: Crud. Switching the load order just brings me back to the original question, so I am completely lost now. I guess I should mention in that first question that the coordinates that aren't colored red are still yellow-green. Sorry. Still colorblind. Still using it as an excuse. :)
