Daali
Hi all, I got the DLC thru GFW and played thru it fine start to finish. I see the new Gauss clip mod, so I decided to try it. It CTD's every time. Hmmm, I try it last or first in FOMM, to no avail. no big deal, but today I went to install the helmless chinese stealthsuit mod and it CTD's. Obviously, I think there is something amiss with my install; it is not the mod's fault. I redownloaded the DLC from GFW, but it is still crashing. Any ideas? I have no idea what GFW didn't do correctly on install, but I wiped and reinstalled and it still didn't correct the issue. This post from another forum did fix the issue!: Kudos to PWXBOX360 for the fix! Ok guys whilst we are all waiting for the patch I found out a way to get it working. Heres what you do (I assume you have already downloaded it from the Marketplace). 1: Locate the following 3 files on your PC: Anchorage.esm Anchorage-Main.bsm Anchorage-Sounds.bsa They should be buried somewhere in the following folder:C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\XLive\DLC\ 2: Now copy these 3 files into your Fallout 3 Data folder so for me this is: D:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\Data 3: Now launch Fallout 3 using the Fallout 3 launcher but before you do so select Data Files in the menu then make sure that Anchorage.esm is ticked (by default its not ticked for some reason!!). 4: Now launch Fallout3 from the Launcher select the Play option. 5: After a few minutes it will pop up with the new quest message. I tried this on both my PCs and it works straight away. You do need to still be logged into GFWLive however and it has now unlocked the first 2 achievement for me so seems to be working fine. I suspect the problem might be a Windows path related one as I have Vista Home Premium on my E drive on 1 PC & my C drive on the other but neither would work until I placed the DLC within the main Fallout3 Data folder and selected it from the launcher. Treusch
I had a hell of a time doing this because windows was hiding my Appdata folder. I used this link to figure out how to access it. I'm probably a n00b for not knowing before. http://itsvista.com/2006/12/itsvista-tip-1...to-keep-hidden/
