Grempington
Hey, got a minor issue which I'm curious about. I tried searching about it online but couldn't find anything related. First of all, actual RAM usage never goes over 50% - I've got 32 gigs of RAMSecond, my specs can handle my game so that's not an issue - RTX 3090, overclocked i7 8700K, etc. While playing the GPU doesn't go beyond 70 degrees and my CPU doesn't go beyond 50 degrees because watercooling and the CPU can probably handle 120 fps so it's not working as hard at 60 Now, while playing yesterday I noticed the game consistently uses more and more virtual RAM. The closer it got to 100%, the slower it rose, but it did eventually get to 100% which led to a CTD.Very odd cause Skyrim just seems to want to use 15-16 GB of virtual RAM right off the bat. As a result, I've added 20 GB of pagefiles (I had zero virtual pagefiles before, only had my 32 GB actual RAM and that's it) and when playing / stress testing the game after, noticed the virtual memory usage never went beyond what would've been 101-105%, every time I loaded a new area the Virtual RAM usage went down instead of up, suggesting the game detected it's using all it can / wants to and starts to actually free assets before loading new ones. So I'm wondering. I didn't want to use pagefiles because HDD is slow, and I want to protect SSDs from wear and tear, and I have more than enough RAM to cover for that. This issue doesn't happen with any other game. So is it possible to make Skyrim think I have 1-3 GB less Virtual Ram? That'd probably permanently fix the issue without requiring me to have virtual pagefiles. Thanks
