Dragonborn bugged ending

Hi all,

 

I have played through Dragonborn four time. I love it...except for the bugged ending for me. I'll be general so I don't spoil--but those of you who have played will know what I mean.

 

At the end, the only way I can continue is to step in and resurrect him to continue the battle...but ultimately, this doesn't work and there is no way to kill him. Even the setstage commands do not produce the desired results.

 

Anyone else with a similar issue?

I have had three chronic problems for weeks:

 

-- frequent crashing when with a companion

 

-- dragons not giving me their souls

 

-- Miraak bugged ending and I can't complete this dlc

 

 

So I deleted all my saves and started the game all over. But the very first dragon outside of Whiterun did not give me its soul.

 

I started over again, this time disabling Dragonborn.esp. Now, no crashes and I get dragon souls. For me, Dragonboard is permanently disabled until a patch comes along.
