What exactly does "enhanced shaders -enb 161" do and how does

I already have alot of mods should i add enhanced shaders to the list or will i take a hit to performance? I already have the nmc texture pack, poco bueno, eve, project nevada , nevada skies awop. Those are the ones that i think would effect the framerate.
