Betwixt
Just a tweaking for Archangel Armor that I constantly find myself fawning over the prospect of. Please do redirect me to any tutorials that could instruct me how to easily make these changes myself.Qualities to tweak/add to Archangel Armor:Ghost Armor's ghost modeGrappling hook+20 Defense+3 Movement+10 HP (instead of +6)Titan Armor's poison immunity/flame resistance (w/e the latter's good for)I was disappointed that Archangel Armor was lacking the qualities of previously researched armors such as Titan Armor and the Skeleton Suit. I had expected it to be an all-around upgrade; a sort of culmination of previously researched things. Besides, it even looks like a Nanosuit like Titan and Ghost armor. Amineri
Most of these changes can be adding by changing the DefaultGameCore.ini file embedded into the xcomgame.exe I use the program Resource Hacker to make such changes, although ToolBoks and ModPatcher are other options. Give ArchangelArmor ABILITY[]= eAbility_Ghost to grant the ghost ability Give it Property[] =eAP_Grapple to grant the grappling hook Set its iDefenseBonus=20 to grant the defense bonus Set its iMobilityBonus=3 to grant the extra movement Change its iHPBonus from iHPBonus=8 to iHPBonus=10 Give it Property[]=eAP_PoisonImmunity to give the poison immunityI'm not quite sure where the flame resistance is set. It allows you to move through the small fires that get set when you explosives are used (and sometimes plasma fire), and is often found around crashed UFOs. Flames make tiles impossible unless you have this ability. Good luck!
Betwixt
(Huh, it is +8. How'd I miss that?)Thanks very much for that. I'll make good use of it. I'll be sure to return with any further questions on the matter, but I think that's all I'll require.
Betwixt
So, having made the given changes and then some to DefaultGameCore.ini, I couldn't help but notice that they don't take effect in-game. How do I resolve that? Edit: Figured it out on my own. Nevermind. Edited May 15, 2013 by Betwixt
anUser
you need some program such that resource hacker amineri mentioned to embed the code into the exe, I use a very simple console command tool called xcom ini patcher, toolboks has been mentioned as well, you may try any of those

I already did that, and I already fixed it. I succeeded by editing another DefaultGameCore config file (elsewhere in the game folders) to match the one in the .exe file. Even then, it's not an exact match. The DefaultGameCore.ini I found elsewhere in the folders seems to apply the changes. blacklimoband
Does the grapple option show up in game? I had a play with this myself a while back and everything bar the grapple worked fine.
