Treusch
I could care less about the LIVE trophies and achievements. As far as I'm concerned it's just a way to make some replay a 5 hour game over and over so they think it was worth the $60 bucks they paid for it. I'm sure most people have now found where microsoft hid away the DLC esm's and put them back into their place (the data folder). But then found that they couldn't use their old save games while logged in. So I created a new character just to play the DLC. But I didn't want to play while logged into LIVE. So if you look in your save games, you'll seen another folder titled by your pc user name. Inside that folder are the 'LIVE' save games. I just copied it back into the regular saved games folder and TA-DAHH! Now I don't have to log into LIVE to use the character I created in LIVE. I'm sure most people know this by now, so I'm just posting this for the few who don't.

SangRahl
Copy/Paste of my post in 'The Trouble with the stupid DLC' A bit of looking around led me to find out that save games aren't dead... 1) Use FOMM to reset the 'fallout3.esm' back to the top of the load order after patching (and put the 'Operation:Anchorage' file directly below it)2) WindowsLive savegames are made in a new subfolder, so you just have to copy the savegame you want to take into the expansion over to that subfolder. And, if you want to skip over the whole logging in riggamarole to be able to play your game wihtout having to be on LIVE (say if someone wants to play on the x360 at the same time...) you can do the same shift in files for the DLC, itself. Pulled from the PlanetFallout 'Operation: Anchorage' FAQ:How can I use my saves offline? If you're logged into Games for Windows Live, you'll notice that you have to log in every time you wish to load a saved game, as they are associated with your account. However, there is a fix that allows you to use these saves offline. Go to your Fallout 3 save folder. The default path is My Documents/My Games/Fallout3/Saves. From there, you should see another folder that has the same name as your Games for Windows Live Gamertag. It will contain your saved files. Just copy them into the /Saves/ folder, and you should be good to go. How can I play the DLC without connecting to GFW Live?Like Fallout 3 GFW Live saves, you'll need to move the DLC data to a different folder if you wish to play the DLC without connecting to Live. If you're using Windows Vista, the DLC files can be found in C:\Users[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\XLive\DLC, with [username] replaced with your Windows username, and in C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Xlive\DLC on Windows XP. Just copy the files there into your \Fallout 3\Data folder and you should be able to play Operation Anchorage without GFW Live, assuming you have the Anchorage Data Files enabled when you launch the game. *moderators: if there is an issue with this link, or excerpt, please feel free to snip it. (I know some message boards don't prefer this sort of linking/quoting) I know I'll be going this route, myself... as I really don't like having an offline s/p game being inexplicably linked to needing to be online for no real reason. ('Achievements' mean nothing... I mean, really, if you just play the game all the way through, you'd do 3/4 of the listed achievements, anyways. And what use is it for bragging rights? "Hey, look... I actually played the game I bought... Cool, huh?")There ya go.

SangRahl
Just so long as the spelling is in the original french: sangreal ('sang real': blood of kings -or- 'san greal': holy grail)Sang'Rahl is just my bastardization of it... and been used by me for various boards/games for over a decade. Heheheh. The only thing that saddens me is that the answer wasn't found on your own, via either the [search] link... ::points up and right, towards the top of the page:: Or through the wonders of the number 1, followed by a hundred 0's.
