Been away from Skyrim for 2 years, any mods worth coming back for?

Well, I've been playing for just shy of 2-1/2 years, and I've seen a lot of mods released since I began playing, both in terms of new content and ported content. And many of which have been ones that alter game play and provide new questing opportunities.

Specifics? I have none to offer you. That's up to you by scanning the mod categories, new mods, most popular downloads, etc. We all have our own predilections

The best quest mod, Interesting NPCs, has been ported to SSE. Rigmor of Cyrodiil and Dragonchild have been released. Song of the Green and Lucien are available as companions. Legacy of the Dragonborn is now up to v 5.51. The old mod Wyrmstooth is now back.

Vampires? Try the wonderful new mod Serana Dialogue Add-On.

Here's a few I thought were excellent: Maelstrom, The Grand Paladin, Unremarkable Cave, and Hel Rising. They are challenging and worth your while. Although none of them are DLC sized enormous quests like Lost City or Vigilant, they are none the less done very well with attention to detail.

If you happen to like Fromsoft's games (dark souls/bloodborne) or even if you don't, "Glenmoril" is one I really enjoy. It's currently in the process of being made and updated periodically, but I think the author's fairly close to finishing it and hopefully getting voice actors for it in the future like his other mods. That's my input.
