xorterenshe
you can't make anything out. They all blend in together in the endless white-ness of this. ///_< if you move to certain areas of the prison (at the biginning of the game) some things will turn purple. also, the skeleton on the floor is purple, but the jail door and pots are all black. the eyes on any character are like beachballs. They are technicolored. ///_T other than that, whenever I go to change one of the visual options, the game crashes. (it's the same when I try to activate mods like the Companion Mod) apparently I have all the minimum system requirements, so that couldn't be the problem... I've tried to check the texture paths (to no success). when I made the visuals smaller and made the screen size smaller, I could the the basic shape of things and the characters were black so... anyone know what is up? bben46
To help we need system specs, including the exact video card you have. And whether you are using XP or Vista. And a mod list in load order if you are using any mods. Also, what version of Oblivion you have, if you have Shivering Isles or not, and what patches you have applied.

xorterenshe
I don't believe your video card is up to running Oblivion. You can test it here: http://www.srtest.com/referrer/srtest the drop-down list on that site doesn't have Oblivion in the list (or any Elder Scrolls game, for that matter) I attemted to check Fallout 3 (since the graphics are insane on that game as well), but I've told my computer not to install random ActiveX components in the past, so it didn't work anyway. bben46
Look for The Elder Scrolls IV, Oblivion. probably further down in the list than you looked. Usually you can allow an active x temporarily. It needs that to see what you have so it can tell you if it will work with a particular game.
