Console/Race Inquiry

I've been messing around with the console during character creation, making mixed up strange-looking half-people, and I've actually found a combination that I like. However, despite the rather elven facial features this character has, I've made him look otherwise quite human. However, due to the method by which I achieved this, (Selecting the nord race then using the 'player.setrace highelf' command within character creation) he is always referred to as an elf. Is there any way I can change the race the game considers him as without changing his appearance, stats, and the like? This seems either impossible or very difficult through use of the actual race menu, I would assume it would require some fenaggling with the game's files, but of course I don't know or else I wouldn't be here.

'player.setrace highelf' will tell the game you're an high elf.....

 

afaik when you want to create a custom race you have to make one yourself using modding tools.

 

There is however a mod that will allow racial traits to other races... you could try this;

Though I have not tried to make my Nord look like an Elf but still be a Nord, so I dont even know if this function allows what you look for :o

Thanks for the contribution, but that's not quite what I'm looking for. I don't really want a custom race, I just want him to be considered a nord with his current appearance. I experimented with using 'player.setrace nord' to resolve the issue, but it always messed with his appearance. Also, just as a note, I could care less about his stats, to be honest. Those can be corrected easily enough.

No problem... checked around a bit, but not able to find anything that will allow what you want :[ apparently in Skyrim, when you look like an Elf you are an Elf and will never be a Nord or so, unless you change your face :p
