Unique rosters for each Empire

Hey there, I am planning on working and (hopefully) eventually release a mod which aims to give the Southern, Northern and Western each a unique roster and feel and I could use some feedback and help to flesh the three factions fully out.

Right now, this is what I have on the drawing board:

Northern Empire

The Northern Empire would be more traditional, focusing on good ol' Roman - like Legions.

 

-Due to having Sturgia and Battania as neighbours, known for their shock troopers and devestating ranged units, the Northern Empire puts focus into a solid and heavily armored Infantry to protect their more vulnerable units

-Primary focus will be heavy infantry with heavy armor & shields and throwing spears to mirror traditional Roman Legions

-(Giving them shock troopers as a reflection to Sturgians)

-Light Cavalry

-Will lack in cavalry department compared to the other forces

-(Still debating whether or not to give them Triarii or make them exclusive to the Western Empire)

-Noble Line is still open for question, debating whether or not it should be Praetorian Guards, Varangian Guards or just Cataphracts

 

Southern Empire

The Southern Empire would be more focused on "royal" and "loyalist" units, due to their loyalty to the Empress.

 

-The Southern Empire will be an all - rounder faction but very expensive, too.

-Basic Troop Line is solid but nowhere perfect (Thinking of keeping the Vanilla one, or at least reskin them to look cooler), the Noble Line is where the Southern Empire will shine.

-Noble Line consists out of Praetorian Guards and there'll be one to fullfil every role (Ranged, Heavy Cav, Heavy Infantry and Horse Archers)

-Noble Line will be heavily guarded and will pretty much best any Basic Troop unit with ease. However they'll be super expensive.

 

Western Empire

The Western Empire should be all around the military, focusing on Veteran Units, Auxillary and versatility.

 

-Basic Troop Lines are auxillaries consisting out of Vlandians, Sturgians, Batannians and the Aserai, which should make the faction "colorful", diverse and versatile.

-Noble Troop Line will consist out of Triarii, which are Veterans with high skills and expensive equipment, - aswell as officers and cataphracts

-Primary focus will be cheap infantry with strong ranged units (Fian Auxillary) and Cataphracts

 

This is all very Work in Progress, so everything is subject to change. I'd love some feedback and more importantly, I would love if y'all could send some ideas and historical names of Units my way.
