Change from master file to plug-in file?

Not directly that I know of.

 

Way I did it was open in the FOMM plugin editor and re-save as a .esp. At this point the game and GECK will still consider it as a master file. Open the file in GECK and make a small change then save it again.

 

It should now be a plugin.
