Ygfbv
Run it as an administrator or reinstall Skyrim/Steam to a location that you have write access to, eg C:\Games or your user folder.

thebeast505
Now whenever I try to download a mod with the green mod manager button it says"Unable to open this helper application for nxm://skyrim/mods/10789/files/36927 The protocol specified in this address is not valid, make sure the address is correct and try again." What's going on?

What's going on?Sorry to bump an old thread, but when I googled my problem this is all that came up. Im getting the exact same error message (numbers may be different). This is the first mod I've tried to DL, Caliente's CBBE mod.... am I doing something wrong?
prod80
Nexus site is under DDoS attack for one, another can be that you use an old version of NMM
Octopussy
I have version 0.45.4, AFAIK its the newest... I guess I'll try try again in a few hours... just happy to know it isn't likely a problem on my end. Thanks!
Octopussy
hmmm.... manual download seems to be working fine, you sure I'm not doing something wrong with the NMM? After extraction, do I just put the mods in the Skyrim folder? I guess NMM will organize them later...?
prod80
nono... when you manually download, but the download does support NMM you go into NMM mods tab and select Add -> From File... otherwise NMM will not manage the mod's files.
