davidkakar Posted May 16, 2013 Author Share Posted May 16, 2013 (edited) So as you can see which are active and all that. Can anyone help me here? I can't even get past the intro with out crashing but I nearly beat the game with the same setup like a month ago. I have wyre bash and tesedit and know how to use em and all that goodness. so if anyone can spot any mods that conflict or something or can help me pinpoint this s#*! without having to spend a whole day installing and uninstalling mods that would be f*#@ing amazing. davidkakar Posted May 16, 2013 Author Share Posted May 16, 2013 (edited) I even ran that amazing but heavily unstable mod Warzones with the combo and was able to play, not for long but i was able to get to lvl 10-15 before it became unstable. Now i freeze as soon as i would gain control of my char. I can make my class and all that but just cant get past the dragon. I know the most logical solution is the reduce my mods but please don't make me do it :( I cant go back now I've seen the power and the light don't make me go back to a more vanilla skyrim. See if disabling this mods helps;run for your lives.esp If it doesn't, try and disable all combat overhaul mods and start a new game, activate them again (if you know they are stable) after you finished Helgen and step into Skyrim Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

prod80 Posted May 16, 2013 Share Posted May 16, 2013 The thing is... helgen quest is not very compatible with mods (Helgen is very heavy scripted, and often mod makers do not really care all that much.. the major mods mostly run fine in Helgen but some simply don't and crash stuff up)... I know Helgen has problem with mods that change things around combat... like run for your lives does with dragons... so it's most likely a mod that does something (reactions, action) around NPC's during combat or anything else included in Helgen (like ApachiiHair crashing your game during the Character creation..) So you want to look into that... Another way to approach this is to disable all your mods except DLCs and Unoffcial patches and mods that specifically need to be active from the game start (should literally be written on the mods page, mostly these are perk system changes)... go through the whole helgen scene without all those mods enabled and when you step into Skyrim, save your game... quit... enable all your mods... back in game... open console and type save "My Fresh Start" or whatever you like to name it, and play from there... as you say your mods where stable before and now at a new game stuff locks up it's most likely (assuming you haven't changed anything) a compatibility between one or more of your mods and helgen. To config your char after helgen you can just type showracemenu in the console and set stuff up and name him/her as you like. For any other fresh start game after that you just open your save game My Fresh Start and that way you also just skip this whole damn long Helgen scene. If it still locks up after that, there's definitely some compatibility issue between your mods that BOSS is not aware off... maybe one of the unrecognized mods.
