Add fire damage to lava pools

I have just downloaded a free to use lava texture for Paintshop pro I found on google and have created a landscape texture with it. I am going to add lava pools/rivers to my worldspace and was wondering if it is possible to add a fire damage effect to the lava pools/rivers so when the player steps on them he/she takes fire damage. Anyone know how to do this?

first off what game? Second yes. Lava burns you in real life so it should burn you in your game.

Well seen is this is the Skyrim Mod Talk thread the game would be Skyrim lol. And a landscape texture does not burn you by itself. You have to add some sort of box/special effect using the CK to do this. I dont know how to do this and I would like someone to tell me how to do it if they know that would be great

I'm curios as to whether someone here can make a resource for lava looking water (or blood red water)... Or if it exists in the game somewhere. It's be pretty useful.

Also it should burn whatever plants are nearby.

There is the dwemer forge lava in dawnguard but its no use as its only flat meshes and my landscape is all bumpy and hilly so best way I can see to do this is landscape texturing and adding a fire damage effect

Also your lava should burn plants too.

Yeah figures great but unless anyone responds who knows how to set up the effect only thing that will be burnt is my brain lmao

just found a trigger box called dlc1 lava damage saving then going to test it out fingers crossed
