kyle01
I got a Ring of Night Vision. I honestly don't remember from where. I'd been carrying it around unused for several levels. I put it on to see better in the dark dwarvish ruins in Markath. It gave me great night vision in dark places and I'm almost blind in well lit places...so I took the ring off and the effect WON'T stop. I've tried sleeping for longer than 24 hours. I got rid of the ring. I've left the ruins and returned. I've excited the game and reloaded it. Whether inside or outside, I still have the night vision effect going on and it is making game play very difficult. When I look at Active Effects under Magic, Night Vision is NOT listed. >:( Does anyone have any suggestions? kyle01
So...is there anyone who can help me with this? Is there any way to turn night vision off? How about a command line? Anyone?
Zae1
Press ` for console - Type in :player.removespell 0006b10c ----- ? Worth a shot, will attempt to remove the magic effect. Alternatively if this does not work, try ths : player.addspell 0006b10c then player.removespell 0006b10c That'll list it as a magic effect, then attempt to remove it, hopefully working. steve40
There are one or two mods that give you a ring of night vision. Just uninstall them.
kyle01
Zae1 and Steve40, thank you trying to help. Steve40, I double checked all the mods I've loaded. None include a ring of night vision or ring of night eye, which is what started the problem. The ring must be part of Skyrim, Dawnguard or Hearthfire, and I've done nothing having to do with Dawnguard or Hearthfire yet. Zae1, your suggestion for the player.removespell command what a good idea. That was the kind of thing I was looking for. You had the spellID wrong, but I was able to find the correct ID's. I tried removing, then adding and removing:Night Vision (0006b10e)Improved Night Vision (000aa01d) andVampire Vision (000c4de1)None of this had any effect at all. Argh!!! I tried using the player.getAVinfo NightEye command. The result was a 0.00, which I assume means that Night Vision is not operationg on me at this time, but I'm not sure. I tried using the player.getAVinfo PerceptionCondition command. The result was a 100.00. I really don't know what that means. Anyone know? I've tried the dispelallspells command. Nothing happened. Is there a command to find ALL the spell effects and powers currently operating on the player? I tried looking for something like this, but found nothing. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Kyle Edited May 24, 2013 by kyle01
kyle01
After all the experiments last night, I was in fact wondering if what I was seeing was actually Night Vision/Night Eye. I tried another experiment to find out. I downloaded a mod called No_Blur, which eliminates the blurring on the sizes of the screen when one has Night Vision/Night Eye active. When I installed and activated the mod, sure enough the sides of my screen "unblurred". This is definitely some version of Night Vision/Night Eye I'm experiencing and it just won't stop. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Kyle
kyle01
So...a bit more info. I tried a "player.getAVinfo nighteye" command. All the numbers came up 0.00. I find this incredulous, considering I clearly have nighteye operating 100% of the time. Again...any suggestions? Kyle
Gaalhway09
Hello there !My boyfriend had the same issue and we found out something that worked well for him. Here's our solution : Open your console.Tape : player.addspell 000AA01DIt will add you the spell of Kahjiit's Night Eye.Go to your Powers Inventory and activate this new skill. Then desactivate it. You should be able to see your game without the night vision now.You may then want to remove the spell 000AA01D. Hope it'll help :3 - Gaalhway Edited August 15, 2013 by Gaalhway09
ntblood
I tried it all. Actually the real answer is that You Have To Be Crouched to Disable that Vampire Night Vision spell. PS. I appreciate the previous suggestion though. Edited August 24, 2014 by ntblood
