Night Vision won't turn off

Hello there !

My boyfriend had the same issue and we found out something that worked well for him.

Here's our solution :

 

Open your console.

Tape : player.addspell 000AA01D

It will add you the spell of Kahjiit's Night Eye.

Go to your Powers Inventory and activate this new skill. Then desactivate it.

 

You should be able to see your game without the night vision now.

You may then want to remove the spell 000AA01D.

3 years later and this can still be an issue for some people - this suggestion fixed my problem when all the other suggestions from this thread (and other forums I've searched) didn't. Thanks! :thumbsup:

i know im a bit late on this reply but using embrace of shadows twice in a row turned it off for me after it got stuck when i drank Shadowbanish Wine.

If you are human you just need this spell: player.addspell 00088821

 

Then just turn off the active ability by favoriting it.

I'm going to try some of these suggestions, but I know I got this from eating some ingredient, like a wolf eye or werewolf eye or heart. Something like that. I was putting ingredients away and saw some that I didn't know and ate to find what they do and then I had night eye. But some of the ingredients I had only one of, so not sure what caused it. But it won't go away, and nothing shows up on my active effects list.

 

If anyone knows what caused this, please respond.

 

 

 

 

OK, got the night eye spell (000aa01d) and used it and solved the problem. But still don't know what I ate to get get night eye in the first place.

I too did just experience constant Night Vision after consuming Ingredients en masse to learn their effects (not sure if Hunterborn or PerMa or CACO or anyone was at fault, after reading another reply, I suppose it is Hunterborn's Wolf Eyes or Heart) but I found no fix working until Post #8. Adding player.addspell 000AA01D and activating that Kahjit Night Eye Power (as Bosmer) turned the NV off. Replace addspell with removespell and et voila, all is as it should be. Perhaps other Night Vision Powers/Spells work as well but dispelling it certainly did not. Thank you Gaalhway!
