rutgurt
I don't know exactly what action caused this uglyness to kick in, but for some reason in the last couple days, the textures for my landscape got sort of pixelated. It seems more of a color blending issue or something. Im not sure what it is. I had been having Fallout 3 freezes and tried a number of things to fix it: updated the game, updated Video drivers, updated Video bios. One of these actions must have caused the change I would assume. So, something went bad. I have reinstalled the game and tried it without the update and without any mods installed, rolled back my video and bios drivers. Still these pixelated landscape textures. It seems to be stuck. What could be wrong? I am absolutely stumped. I have posted a picture below of what the landscape looks like. Look closely and you will see that the color blending is off resulting in these squares. ITs quite ugly and makes the landscape look grainy when zoomed out: Btw, I have used a higher resolution texture mod so its easier for you to notice these awful pixels. These pixels show up in either case (positive its not the mod), im just afraid it won't be noticed in a degraded BMP if I use the default textures which are already blurry: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rutgurt/3243447926/sizes/o/ Trust me, in the pic it doesnt look so bad because its degraded, but in the game those squares are much more obvious. My textures were beautiful a few days ago and now they are mush :(
