I just got a armor mod and loaded it up with skyrim.esm and update.esm

not I am making a npc, so far he is a imperial, 1H warrior, class that levels with the character. I want him to be friendly with my character so I can have him as a follower and also to just guard areas. NOTE: their will be more than one of these guys, its like my own private army.

so in the creation kit new character window, I have him their. what AI packages do I assign to him so that he can talk ingame? all the proper dialogue for a follower and just the normal greetings as well like the imperial soldiers?

ok got it to work. if I leave them without a AI package they will stand and guard their area which is good :)

anyone know how to get the armor from the mod to work on them?

I found the armor in the creation kit but when I try to put it on the NPC inventory it gives me a error saying it cannot find the armor.

any help?

Assuming you have properly set up the NPC as a follower, you can assign the NPC any AI package and s/he will resume it whenever s/he is not recruited by the player. To assign custom armour to NPCs, you need to create a new outfit record containing the armor pieces, then assign the outfit to the NPC.

I added him to the follower faction but he does not

Have any options :(

Does his relationship with my character have to be high?

Also I added him to the aimasterlisallowwander and it works great.

In terms of relationship to the player, I set it to Ally or Lover. Also, ensure that the NPC uses a voice type such as FemaleCommander, FemaleYoungEager, FemaleSultry, or FemaleEvenToned (for female followers), or MaleEvenToned, or MaleYoungEager (for male followers). Using other voice types often leads to follower dialogue options not appearing. If you want the follower to wear certain armor pieces from another armor mod, you first have to make your follower plugin dependent on that armor mod. There are some tutorials for this: link. Once it is dependent, make your edits (i.e. make an outfit from the armor pieces and assign it to the follower) and save your work.

Oh and I have the voice set to malesoldier

Maybe that's why the options don't appear

Just did that tutorial I showed. Doesn't work and I found out its because the mod has no meshes in the right folder so the CK can't find them. Oh well :/

This was 2 years ago but if anyone comes across this like I did you should just use BSA Extract (found on the nexus) as the files you're looking for are likely in the bsa. Then just add them to the correct folders as if they were a normal mod adding equipment, then link those meshes and textures to... whatever it is you're doing.
