LE Campfire Saving

I can't find it so... I assume it hasn't been done or might not even be possible.

 

I tend to like to play hardcore/ironman or rp heavy. Often if my character dies, that's it, it's a complete re-roll. Think in the vein of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice or Dark Souls (ridiculously tough games).

 

I would (and I suspect many others) would find it more immersive if we had to use the Campfire Mod (Nexus) (or similar) in order to save rather than using the menu. Something in the vision of being able to store ones 'soul'. Normal mode you could respawn with your items as they were when you saved, hardcore mode you respawn nekkid, no gold, no armor, no potions/items and possibly a nerf to your level. Meaning no ability to quicksave/autosave or save anywhere in the world (depending on how restrictive you make the campfire mod and barring towns).

 

This could possibly allow for an additional skill tree for the Campfire Mod that could sync well with someone doing a Cleric/Priest/Necromancer build on the theme of souls. An idea might be to allow the priest to store items in case of death or save a greater portion of the soul kind of like a bargain with the daedra.

 

I'd have a shot myself but... I can't get the creation kit working.

 

If there is a mod already doing something similar to this, please forgive me, I missed it. Can you link me pls! :D .

I'm gonna follow this so I can come back to it but I *think* there's probably a patch for Campfire and the dark souls mod that makes it so you only save at campfires...I'll look around if you'd like, SE or LE?

Sounds perfect. SE please. :D . The only one I can find either doesn't make use of the campfire mod (or do something similar) or flat out doesn't do anything but change how the campfire looks. Still I'm hoping!

So I did some hunting around on the SE Nexus and it doesn't look like the save at campfires mod has been updated/implemented for Special Edition, sadly.
