Operation Anchorage guns in Fallout 3 Original Version

I've tried simply adding Operation Anchorage DLC weapons to the Fallout 3 Original game but I've come across two problems.

1. Someone who hasn't purchased and downloaded the DLC cannot use the weapon because any new plug-in requires they have the DLC downloaded.

2. If someone does have the DLC, the game just crashes when they enter the designated area that contains the Operation Anchorage weapon.

I was wondering if anybody else out there has been trying to do this. And yes, I'm really bored. Lol.

If you actually bypassed that requirement you'd be committing an illegal act.

I haven't had any problems putting OA weapons into the main game (with the OA requirement of course). The thing I'd wonder is whether you've put the three OA files (the two bsa's and the esm) into your data folder, and whether your mod is loading after the OA.esm is or not (the OA.esm file also needs to be activated in the Data Files section just like a normal mod when you move it).

yea stop what your doing right now because it's illegal and Microsoft WILL come after you. they've done it before for LIVE games on the xbox.

Sarcasm doesn't translate in text based communication.

To OP:

There is nothing wrong with making a DLC based mod as long as the DLC requirement is maintained.

As has been stated, an esp file that is dependent on the DLC is kosher, but including any content from the DLC is not allowed. Texture replacers are allowed, but modified content is not.
