Guest Messenjah
So, to speed things up, I'm trying my hand at animation for Skyrim. I have 3DS Max 2012 and my other animator sent me a mesh that was already rigged. I haven't been able to get ahold of him over the last couple of days and I have run into a bit of a problem. It appears that on his skeleton, I can't use translation to move the pelvic bone around. I'm working on a custom dance idle and I need full control over the hips. I need the npc to be able to bend down/squat a bit, roll hips and move hips side to side. I've check to see if anything was locked under the motion tab, I've checked under animation/bone tools to make sure that it is selected as a bone... nothing. Please help! Thanks. Check/uncheck the NPC COM (the one perpendicular to the bones on the floor) under Animation/Bone Tools/Object Properties. Guest Messenjah
Didn't seem to do a thing. I even tried deleting that bone entirely.... no difference. I also tried checking/unchecking the pelvis. :(
Anton0028
If you use IK you can't change bones position/rotation directly if those bones belong to IK chain.
