Cannot start new game, crashes on load game.

Hi,

 

I recently uninstalled oblivion and shivering isles to reinstall them completely. I wanted to do this so all of my mods would be sorted out. I reinstalled everything, fistg oblivion then shivering isles, then the latest patch, then script extender, and then mod manager. I continued to download a large amount of mods. A picture of all of the mods is equiped.

I start the game up with the OBSE launcher, not the standard command prompt one but the one that is like an actual launcher.

Anyway, the continue button works but causes me to crash.

The new game doessnt work; the button works and so does the popup but when i click yes, nothing happens.

When i try to load ANY file it crashes during or after the load like when i click continue, I've downloaded new save games and tried them but no go. Ive also tried disabling the allt start and same stuff happens.

 

Please help.

Have you tried starting it with the normal shortcut with the target Oblivion.exe?

First, Oblivion.esm should be the top entry in your mod list. Try disabling the one above it.

 

If that doesn't get you started, you need to get back to a place where the game starts. Try disabling all mods except the oblivion.esm.

 

If that allows you to start, add your mods one or two at a time until you find which ones will not allow you to start. Then look for incompatibilities and load order problems.

 

Most likely problem mods

Deadly reflex, Francescos, elder council. However, there are several I am unfamiliar with.

If that is the latest version of Giskard's Elder council, it requires some other mods to work.

Thanks, im still narrowning down the problem, so far i disabled all of the mods and then enabled all of the new race/ new model mods and it works, i can create a new game and everything. I believe the problem is with francescos. However when i was making my lineage elf i had to get past all of the normal races. All of the normal races had black eyes. Do you know why? IM stumped. I also have the Demoria race which i dont know where it came from. Sorry for bad writing im ina hurry.

install wyre bash and BOSS. Use BOSS to adjust your load order and use wyre bash to take q quicl look for conflicts. After reinstalling, did you start with a fresh oblivion.ini?

Eye problems, including black eyes, are caused by trying to run more than one 'beauty' mod at once. Many race mods include beauty changes, Look at ren beauty pack and beautiful people. as well as the race mods.

beautiful people will cause problems with many other cosmetic mods. I found out the hard way also.My eye problems went away when I removed that mod
