dervxerox
I used Nifskope to convert to OBJ, edited in Blender, used Nifskope to convert back. Now I have junk. I've no idea what I am doing. Are there any good tutorials out there that would help me with this?I just want to chop a bit out of a mesh. RoNin1971
Import the obj to blender. Scale it down to 0.1. You'll probably see its rotated on the x-axis by 90 degrees. Change that to 0.The model should be upright now. Do your edits. Don't forget to separate the mesh by material, if multiple are applied. [edit: Note: if you set Blenders resource path correctly and unpacked the textures, you should be able to see and edit those too] Export to obj again, using scale 1.0, Z axis up, Y axis forward.Import to OutfitStudio, export as nif.If its a static, convert the shapes to BSTriShapes, delete all the (empty) materials and copy back the original. Copy that to the original nif file and delete the original mesh. Edited May 8, 2021 by RoNin1971
