Replace vanilla mesh w/ custom mesh?

I am trying to add a new knife into the game I made, and for the life of me Icant figure out how to replace meshes in NifSkope and actually make it work. Any help would be greatly appreciated and anyon e who helps me out w/ this boggle will get their name in the credits roster when I finally get it done and posted.

You could try this, its similar with weapons. (just make sure its lined up right)
